Meet the passionate team behind Trans Joy Boise, dedicated to uplifting, advocating for, and creating spaces of joy for the trans and nonbinary community
About Trans Joy Boise
Trans Joy Boise is a community-driven organization committed to uplifting, empowering, and advocating for trans and nonbinary individuals across Idaho. Founded with the belief that everyone deserves to thrive, we work tirelessly to promote visibility, inclusion, and joy for our vibrant community.
Our mission is rooted in creating spaces where trans and nonbinary people can feel safe, celebrated, and valued. Through our dynamic events, educational programs, and collaborative community efforts, we are building a stronger, more inclusive Idaho—one where every trans person has the freedom and opportunity to live authentically.
We host events that range from celebrations of trans joy, such as our groundbreaking Trans Pride March, to more somber yet equally powerful moments of reflection, like the Trans Day of Remembrance. Every initiative we undertake centers on the idea of fostering a world that embraces our diversity and champions the unique experiences of every individual.
In addition to our public events, we’re passionate about providing educational resources, advocating for policy changes, and creating opportunities for dialogue that elevate trans voices and experiences. Whether it’s organizing a protest, offering support, or simply creating joyful gatherings, we are committed to making a lasting impact for our community.
At Trans Joy Boise, we know that the journey to equality and acceptance isn’t easy, but together, we’re paving the way for a future where every trans and nonbinary person feels seen, supported, and empowered to be their full selves.
Join us as we continue to celebrate diversity, stand up for equality, and create spaces of joy and belonging for the trans community in Idaho.

Rachel Lee Motivated
Co-Director
Rachel Lee Motivated; is a boise artist and activist who brings a bit of much needed diversity to her quaint little town. Raised a local for most of my life, I’ve seen a rise in social awareness that excites me.
As a black trans woman it has taken incredible patience, faith, and determination to keep waking up every morning. I spent the better part of 15 years raised in a Mormon church and once i shook that off of me I searched deep inside myself for my truth. Now, a fresh 20 something, I’m ready to share my journey with others about cults, drug abuse, depression, and the will to keep fighting.
As a purveyor of performance, a producer of art, i hope to bring not only political awareness on and off stage; but a bit of a release (emotionally speaking) to the many frustrations people are too shy to speak on.

Preston “Pacey” Pace
Preston (they/him) is a mental health and recovery advocate. From experience in public speaking on recovery, mental health awareness, and suicide prevention to helping organize Boise’s first Trans Pride March, they believe in supporting and advocating for their community and all those who are marginalized. As an example, they have composed programs for secular recovery to aid those who suffer from religious trauma and addiction. These passions extend to their education as they have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and to their personal endeavors, including but not limited to app development for physical health support and recovery coaching.
They started a company, Ketamine Chronicles, that supports education on mental health recovery for those that are treatment resistant. It includes a blog and a soon-to-come podcast detailing both their recovery and that of those in their community.
They enjoy learning how to help guide their community towards healthier minds, bodies, and spirits, lifting up disenfranchised voices, and standing up for a brighter future for all.
